This weekends festivities have crept up on me but here’s the break down:

8pm: Friday Night Magic Constructed Tournament ($5)

12:01 Midnight!!!  Magic the Gathering Dark Ascension Pre-release Tournament ($30)

Saturday 12 noon:  Dystopian Wars starter box Tournament ($5)

Sunday 12 noon: Living Forgotten Realms D&D Open Tables, Walk-in’s welcome!

3pm:  Flames of War Boot Camp training, Walk-in’s Welcome!

Clean your closets, search the garage, check the trunk even… its a Bitz Blast day! Saturday Jan 7th:  Bring any and all unwanted or under played Miniatures and games to trade with your fellow Gamers or with Avatar! Trade up to a new game, clear out space for your new army… keep the wife happy and get store credit to boot! Plus come learn more about our highly successful “MINIATURE RELOCATION PROGRAM” that allows you to cycle your old miniatures all year long!! and for those up to the challenge there will be blind building contests as well! Running from 11am to 5pm. See you there!

This Saturday the Las Vegas Wargamers will be running a War of The Rings Game-day at Avatar. This is another great GW product; set in the fantasy world of J R Tolkien, War of the Rings plays out mass combat inside the lands of Middle Earth. Miniatures will be provided or bring your own, open to people looking to learn and seasoned players alike! 1pm -5pm Free!

Apparently the post about painting winners didn’t go thru…. so here it is a little late.  First place painted goes to Kendrik for his Oger dressed as Aladin, Converted goes to Dave Schultz for Leonardo from TMNT and “other” is awarded to Vern for his classic Oger dressed as a sheet ghost. “people’s choice” also goes to Dave with an honarable mention to Walt for his Headless Horseman of Nurgle.  Each category gets a prize of $50 store credit and People’s choice awards get 5 paints of there choice.

Due to some confusion on when entries were due, we will be accepting your “Costumed Miniture” until close on Sunday October 30th; but to be fair people’s choice voting has begun so the sooner you bring your models in the more votes you might get! Our official judges for the three catagories will vote on Monday the 31st.
