Free Comic Book day is just around the corner!! in Just a few days we’ll be celebrating comics in all their forms!! So to join in the festivities here at Avatar!!

L.A.W. (League of Artist Workshop) Will be in as well Drawing and spreading the wonderful experience of local comic art!! Look for possible mystery gift from them!!

Experience Hero Clix!! You’ve seen them on the shelf and maybe you were interested in what they were about! Well Now is your chance to find out! Our Hero Clix organizer will be running demos all day!! He is a great guy and very knowledgeable about the game, and show you what fun it could be to put together a dream team and duke it out! This Saturday Avatar will celebrate the release of the Gargantuans just this last month with it’s official release event!  Starting at 1 pm and going through the day, play games and get points. Awards will start at 7 pm!! International TableTop Day is a celebration for all the fans of tabletop gaming. A single day where the whole world is brought together in a common purpose of spending time together and having fun. We at avatar comics and games would invite you to come on down an participate in this celebration. Some of the games we will be demoing and playing in are:

•  D&D Board Game Demos, with the Dungeon Command.
• Casual Games Munchkin, Smash Up, DC deck builder to name a few.
• Along with these games is a Warhammer fantasy tournament.

Fantasy Escalation Tournament!! March 30th, the final chapter to the February’s Fantasy League. Starting at 1:00 and running to 7:00.

1600 points, Standard army list composition rules as described in the main rule book. All current army books are allowed as well as chaos dwarfs using the forge world Tamharukhan rules. Please bring a copy of these rules if you follow under that category. Dogs of war and other experimental rule sets care not legal for this event. It is an open list format so please bring a copy of your army list for your opponent to view prior to each game. 2.5 hour round duration with a dinner break after round 2. Please see the tournament hand out for other details. If you should not have one view the store copy before the event begins!!

Saturday, March 9th Heavy Gear tournament noon-it ends 1000TV any PL Level using Gear up 5 values if using new South Forge in Fire must be nicely printed out so I can check list, 3 turns a game $10.00 Buy in. This will be an Ironman event when gears die and CPs are spent in game one they do not carry over into game 2. All gears on a 5+ after game can recover 1 box of damage. If a gear is destroyed and a 5+ is rolled it comes back into play being critical or in some cases heavy damaged if they don’t have a critical box. Models that can regenerate CPs may do so only 1 time in tournament.

Open Fire offers the new player a first glimpse into a world that combines the joys of painting and modelling their own miniature army with the challenge of facing off against an opponent across a gaming table in a social setting. You’ll get to recreate history or change it! But more importantly have fun while doing it.
